The Little Key That Turns Big Wheels in Motion

Hey, remember the story of the ten lepers in Luke 17?

When they asked the Lord Jesus to heal them, their healing didn’t happen immediately. Instead, He looked at them and said, “Go show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed of their leprosy (Luke 17:14).

Go show yourselves to the priests? Really? How is that supposed to heal us, Jesus? We only show ourselves to the priests after we have been healed, not before!

Maybe the lepers thought this way, maybe not. But it didn’t even really matter what they thought at that point. What matters is what they did. They turned and began to make their way to the priests. Obeying this instruction was an act of faith for all the lepers, because in Israel at that time, you could only show yourself to the priest after your healing.

Then, the healing came. The miracles followed their obedience.

Now, they COULDN’T heal themselves. But they COULD walk to the priest. And they chose to obey the One that could heal them by obeying the simple step He asked of them.

We may not be able to do the big things. And usually, the Lord doesn’t ask us to do the big things.

He calls us to do the simple, regular things and then we will see a move of His supernatural power.

You want to write a book? Go look for a pen or fire up a laptop. You want healing, confess the scriptures. You want a thriving business, tell a new customer about your product. You want a baby, get together with your spouse.

You are involved in the process and your participation of faith is a compulsory requirement. Actually, God’s great power cannot do anything unless you activate it with a simple step of faith.

So, take a small step of obedience, and then watch as He turns supernatural wheels in motion to bring your miracle to pass. Doing little, regular things release the power of God in big ways. That’s what faith is.
