Hello everyone! Welcome to Season 2 of The Lifeaholic Podcast. It’s awesome to be back!
How has the year been for you? How was January? If you are part of The Lifeaholic community via the mailing list, you’ll know that I’ve been checking in on you through that medium
The theme for this month of February is authenticity. Being true to who you are and being with God. Being honest with where you are and the direction you want to go. However, before we get into the topic of authenticity proper, I want us to put first things first. So, on this first episode of the season and the year, putting first things first.
Specifically, we’ll be taking about making room in our life for a person: Jesus. Putting Him first in the course of our daily living.
We live in a world that is constantly drawing us to do more, be more before we can be taken seriously. But at the end of the day, we will not live in this world forever, no matter how exciting or beautiful it is. We will answer to the person that created us and put us here.
That’s why I want to start this season by reminding us not just of what is important, but who is important. So that we can view our goals, actions, decisions and lives through His lens.
We need to cultivate the habit of literally making room for Him to stand, sit or walk beside us, while we go about our days. If not life, as we know it, will drown out our awareness of His presence. And we need Him so desperately in this crazy world
So, here’s your assignment for the first episode of this season, and this year: Get a journal, if you don’t already have one. And take about 15-20 mins to see how you can make more room for Jesus in your regular, everyday life.
