Do you have an idea of what you’d like to do, but you’re not quite sure how to start or go about it? I’m here to encourage and challenge you.
Do you see many of the ‘successful’ people out there? Well, none of them really had 100% certainty about every little thing concerning their vision, whether it is a business or a ministry or vocation of some sort. Every one of them had to follow the ‘Learn As You Go’ principle.
This is how it usually goes. You get a vision or idea of something that you want to do. If you’re a godly person, perhaps, you even prayed about it and got some extra clarity and conviction that this is the way for you to go. The next thing you do is sit down and write that vision as clearly as possible. For many people this is not a challenge. A pen, notebook and a couple of hours later, that’s done and dusted.
Then comes the challenge for many people. You’re waiting for the vision to be 100% clear with all the steps and plans clearly identifiable. That never happens.
The vision or the steps to actualize it may not be 100% clear. I want you to know that that’s okay. Run with whatever percentage of clarity you have now. Even if you draw up a military-style kind of plan or strategy for your vision, you will need to change it every now and then as life happens, and that’s okay, too.
You need to do what every great person does. You need to ‘Learn As You Go’.
Let us describe your vision with the letter Z. That’s your destination, as you see it. Now, to get to Z, you need steps A, B, C, D…X, Y and everything in between. If all you have right now is step A, jump in with it, and step B will show up. Before you’re done with step B, the next step will become clearer.
Clarity follows action. If you’re waiting for perfect clarity, it won’t happen with an idea inside your head. You will just find yourself stuck. You need to implement what you do know as much as you can. When you start, the steps will keep getting clearer and arranging themselves.
So, what do you have right now? Run with that. Work with that and you will Learn As You Go.
You can be all that you were created to be.
